An increasing number of children are becoming involved in competitive and recreational tennis at an earlier age. Children as young as four or five years old participate, with some taking part in year-round practice and competition. With Canada currently represented by 3 players in the top 50 world rankings, these children are following tennis even more!

At YCC, we believe in encouraging and nurturing our campers to get the most out of the camp experience while giving them the tools they need to succeed in all aspects of life. Playing tennis regularly has many physical and psychological benefits associated with it. The health benefits are particularly important for a child’s physical, emotional and mental development.

Tennis is a sport that encourages sportsmanship and positive social interactions, all in a competitive environment. Children learn about stress management in a way that mirrors the stress and recovery cycles in life.
